As a QuickBooks expert and business owner, I can tell you that managing your work-life balance can be hard. Layer parenting on top of that, and it can feel impossible sometimes. However, last summer, I asked for help in managing this. How do you do it? How do you protect your time?
As a matter of fact, I learned some very valuable things. But the best thing I learned was how to say “No”. It’s easy to get swept up in the “yes”. It feels good to be invited to travel and speak as a QuickBooks expert, and teach your fellow peers. Equally, it is easy to see potential in an idea and take off, without looking at the time and work involved.
The next best thing was learning to ask for help! You don’t have to do it all! Lean on your support system. For me, that was my family, my business partners, who are also QuickBooks experts, and a good friend. It’s not easy. Asking for help doesn’t come naturally to everyone, but it can be vital to your success.
