Position Overview:

The Senior Bookkeeping Account Managerreviews monthly bookkeepers’ work supports the pricing and onboarding of incoming clients, and prepares and presents specialized reports and projects. Ultimately, you should handle the oversight of recurring and nonrecurring projects and deliver highquality work underminimum supervision. Primary Duties

  • Perform monthly oversight and advisory for the bookkeeping department
  • Assigning and auditing the work of the accounting staff to develop, implement and/or maintain one or a combination of generally accepted accounting systems
  • Overseeing basic accounting procedures (A/R, A/P, time billing, P/R,G/L, tax payments, and inventory control)
  • Manages all basic accounting procedures, financial statement preparation, monthend closing, journal entries and general ledger maintenance, inventory roll forwards, and fixed assets and margin analysis, preparingsupporting schedules for financial statements preparation
  • Strong knowledge of small business tax law
  • Research for details to answer complex questions
  • Review’s bookkeeper work
  • Providing feedback to bookkeepers
  • Communicating needs to Operations Team
  • Oversite of all basic accounting procedures; financial statement preparation, monthend closing; journal entries and general ledger maintenance, inventory roll forwards, fixed assets, and margin analysis; supporting schedules for financial statements preparation
  • Development and coaching of bookkeeping teamMonthly communications with clients to discuss results and advisoryProject management of task items resulting from client meetings
Responsibilities
  • Manages the bookkeeping department
  • Assist bookkeeping department in resolving problems
  • Perform, structure, and or train bookkeepers to Onboarding clients by performing AutoReview deep dives
  • Create tasking from deepdive results for bookkeepers to perform.
  • Assist bookkeepers when they need help with deep dives, clean up, catch up tasks
  • Meets with bookkeepers to assist in supporting training opportunities and guidance to meet deadlines and financial accuracy.
  • Meets with the clients monthly in combination with bookkeeper to understand and achieve client’s needs.
  • Manage bookkeeper and clients using our tech stack, including AutoReview, Melio, QBO Payroll, QBO Time, Fathom, LivePlan
  • Evaluate bookkeeper capacity, quality, timeliness, and communication with clients.Client Experience Liaison
  • Participating in evaluations in the sales process
  • Review & assess books before the sale is finalized
  • Estimating appropriate pricing
  • Overseeing the onboarding of new clients
  • Preparing breakdown of client information
  • Support transition of the client to Bookkeeper & Account Manager
  • Supporting the creation and refining of systems and processes in the onboarding process
  • Project management of sales process, communication, quoting, and then onboardingOversee Highimpact Projects
  • Take sales calls to help understand how to breakdown a client’s needs to create workflows to share with the bookkeeper for creating taskings
  • Providing additional strategic services goals, budgets, and forecasts
  • Special projects (i.e., review chart of accounts with suggestions for clients, researching apps to integrate into processes, etc.)
  • Preparing and designing specialized reports for clients
  • Preparing for quarterly and annual Sales Tax filing
  • 1099 filing, W2s, and other compliance
  • Serving as company liaison with auditors’ general liability and workers compensation
  • Yearend accounting projects
  • Can record videos and help increase the knowledge base for internal and external purposes
  • Perform analysis of operations monthly:
  • Onboarding clients
  • Onboarding employees
  • Recurring client’s workflow
Experience & Competencies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Businessrelated field preferred
  • CPA or MBA a plus
  • 510 years progressive accounting experience in public accounting or a similar environment
  • Thorough knowledge of general accounting, including the application of general accounting theory
  • Effective and timely communicator
  • Ability to communicate concepts clearly to Bookkeepers
  • Focus on efficiency with excellent time management skills
  • Strong sense of personal responsibility
