Small business owners boldly risk the family fortunes in an attempt to build a better life. What satisfying work it is to walk beside these fearless and terrified leaders. We contribute control in the form of accurate and enlightening financial info they can use to make better decisions, and the precious gift of time in the form of efficiencies. I have learned much from the clients I have helped over the years.
In 1996, I stepped away from a traditional accounting job (with wonderful mentors), vowed to waste daycare for my preschooler (now age 24) and entered into a world of the self-employed with the muttered refrain “hey, the worst that can happen is I have to get a job”. At that time QuickBooks was young, and early users of the product were hungry for help. Today, we still stay busy everyday helping businesses use QuickBooks better. I am compassionate, independent, shy and outspoken. In off time, I read a lot (especially sci-fi and business), take care of my rent houses and eat dinner with my daughter any day she offers.
